Kate Skales is a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. Since releasing her first record in 2018, Kate has gained many fans and followers who have characterized her music as catchy and a little mean. Her genre is a healthy mix of rock, country and blues. With powerhouse vocals to back up her haunting lyrics and melodies, Kate was once described as a "vulnerable badass" and she has embraced that poetic description with open arms.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2019, Kate has made huge strides in the music scene with her band members Kristin Olson, Brett Rojas and Jake Adamson. They've had the pleasure of playing The Rainbow, House of Blues and Viper Room to name a few. Kate can also be found performing as a solo acoustic artist at venues like the Moroccan Lounge and the Republic of Pie. Her most recent EP entitled "Florida Boy Blues" was released on January 24, 2020. Available to stream on Spotify now!

Before relocating to Los Angeles Kate was based in southern Florida and it was there that she discovered her knack for writing music. Her first EP, "Ready For Me" was released on April 20, 2018. She had the privilege of playing her music at some of south Florida's most popular venues including Kill Your Idol in Miami and the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in the historic downtown river district of Fort Myers.

Kate has played alongside touring acts such as Bud Adler, Matt Walden, Patrolled by Radar, Lung, The Maness Brothers, 20 Watt Tombstone, The Electric Mud and Wilder Sons. Inspired by these hardworking, touring artists, she coordinated two of her own tours. She played solo shows across the eastern United States in September 2019 and February 2020 before the Covid-19 pandemic devastated the world.

While she patiently waits for the live music scene to resume, Kate is working remotely as a full time children's music composer as the artist Ballet Preschool Party. She's also explored the world of sync licensing and her song, "Ready For Me" was recently picked up by an independent music library for commercial, tv and film placement.
